We don’t blame you! There are several trails and parks located on Long Island that are dog friendly. So get up, gear up, leash up and get your walk on!
Belmont Lake State Park is located in Babylon. Just off the Southern State Parkway, you can see the beautiful lake while driving past. A wide trail allows for a nice pack walk. So, grab Fido and a few of his closest friends- you are in for a treat at Belmont Lake!
Coindre Hall, located in North Huntington, just may be one of the most breathtaking views on Long Island. And guess what, the grounds are dog friendly! After parking in the spacious lot, you will be eager to jump out of the car to take some photo’s of the Long Island Sound. You will be surrounded by the most beautiful greenery and can smell the water which is only a few feet away.
Gardiner’s Park is located south of Montauk Highway in Bayshore. The wide trail is about a half mile long and will bring you right to the water! Dogs are permitted on leash and can have fun taking a dip in the water before heading back to the car!
There are many other dog friendly parks and trails on Long Island. No need to sit home and wonder where to go- just go for a drive and you are bound to find the perfect spot for your doggie date!
