Why should I choose Suburban Pets?
Suburban Pets provides quality care at affordable rates. We are dedicated to ensuring the safety and happiness of your pets as we truly care about their well being. I’ve never used dog walker. How does it work?
The first step is that you will receive a complimentary in-home consultation and opportunity to ask all the questions you have! You can explain your pet’s routine and what should be performed during visits- ie: walk, backyard play, feeding, etc. You can also decide whether you prefer to set up a recurring schedule or request visits as needed. You will have your own online portal to request visits and make payments!
How does the online portal work?
Register by clicking the green button on our homepage which will bring you to the portal. Press “create password”. Enter your email address (in lower case letters) & create a case-sensitive password. You are then ready to request or cancel visits, make payments, etc. etc!
Visit requests must be made online in the portal before 8:00 pm the night prior to the desired visit. Cancellations can be made until 11:59 pm the night prior and there will be no charge incurred. Same-day visit requests can be made via email email@example.com.
Payments: You will receive, by email, an invoice twice per month. If you choose to “allow automatic payments” in the portal, your debit/credit card will be charged automatically for the amount due that billing cycle. Alternatively, you may choose to log in and manually make a payment after receiving each invoice.
What is your cancellation policy?
We understand that things happen! You can cancel a visit any time before midnight, the day prior, and you won’t be charged for the visit! Click to read: Suburban-Pets-Scheduling-and-Payment-Policies.
What if my pet needs to be given medication or insulin injections?
No problem! We are experienced with medication administration and insulin injections. During the initial consultation, we will review all medications and medical conditions.
Can you provide references?
Absolutely! We have hundreds of clients who would love to provide feedback and answer your questions!
What if I need a dog walker or pet sitter on short notice?
We try our best to accommodate all your last minute needs and are usually able to visit, even with short notice!
Are you insured and bonded?
Yes. We are insured and bonded through Pet Sitters Associates.
How are you handling Covid-19?
Suburban Pets holds the safety of you, your pets and our team members as priority. In response to this global pandemic, here are the steps we are taking:
-SP is requiring that our team members wear masks when inside your home if a family member is present.
-SP is reminding our staff that their masks must be worn, even outside, when social distancing is impossible. However, we are confident that keeping six feet apart from others outside will continue to be easy to maintain.
-SP is happy to provide contactless visits when family members are home, if you prefer! When you are at home, hand us the leash from your front door and we don’t even need to come inside. Please email us at firstname.lastname@example.org if you prefer this!
-SP requires our staff to sanitize their hands before and after each visit in order to avoid germ transfer.
-SP keeps the lines of communication open with our staff members. If they are not feeling well or show any signs of illness, we provide a substitute walker or take other necessary steps in these situations.
-SP keeps the lines of communication open with our clients, too! If our clients are experiencing viral symptoms, we appreciate that they let us know so that our employees do not visit their home.
